I just heard a trigger warning on the radio for a news story. That made me wonder - Have they started putting trigger warnings on Hollyoaks? I don’t know about now but when I used to watch it the issues they displayed were completely inappropriate. I’m sure that rather than educate young people of problems, it just gave them ideas, displaying blatant self-harm, male dominance and discrimination. Cassandra Clare has had a lot of hate recently for a scene in her novel City of Lost Souls which hints at rape and incest. She has written an absolutely brilliant article on her tumblr talking about the issue, and how hard topics should be explored in the arts. Everyone should read it, it’s a real eye opener.

Wow, the ‘should prisoners have the vote’ issue is making me so… Passionate. Might vent my thoughts on here later.
